CL vs HH, ICL, Match 7 : Imran Farhat shines in Lions' victory

Former Pakistan opener Imran Farhat struck a brilliant unbeaten 74 to help Chandigarh Lions register six wicket victory over Hyderabad Heroes in the seventh match of the Indian Cricket League (ICL) Twenty20 tournament in Panchkula on Wednesday night.
Riding on Farhat's fiery knock the hosts overhauled the target of 135 runs with 22 balls to spare.
Anirudh Singh top scored with 39 runs for Hyderabad Heroes' after skipper Inzamam-ul-Haq chose to bat first. Inzamam failed to reach the double digit mark as he could contribute only eight runs in his team's total of 134.
Andrew Hall took three wickets while Dinesh Mongia took two scalps for the Lions.
Farhat also became the highest run getter of the tournament and belted the Lions attack, hitting sixes at will.
Farhat, who was declared player-of-the-match, struck five sixes and hit seven boundaries in his 48 ball knock.
Chandigarh Lions skipper Chris Cairns also failed with the bat, scoring only eight runs.
