Delhi Giants v Hyderabad Heroes

DG v HH, Match 26: Delhi Giants beat Hyderabad Heroes by 1 run

Delhi Giants beat Hyderabad Heroes by 1 run in an exciting ICL encounter at Tau Devi Lal stadium on Saturday.
Chasing a victory target of 145, Hyderabad Heroes scored 143 for 6 off 20 overs. Abbas Ali of Giants was the man of the match.
Sixteen runs off the last over proved too much for the Hyderabad batsmen as they fell short by just one run. Anirudh Singh hit a six and four of the 5th and 6th balls of the 20th over, respectively, but that proved too little too late. Requiring 27 runs from 12 balls, Heroes could only get 11 runs, including one four, of the penultimate over bowled by Shane Bond.
The Heroes had a subdued start as after 6 overs they were 25 for 1. Opener Jimmy Maher departed after being caught and bowled by Delhi quickie Shane Bond scoring just four runs. Abdul Razzaq was also not at his flamboyant best scoring most of runs through singles and the occasional four. The Delhi bowlers gave the Hyderabad batsmen no easy balls to hit and adhered to a strict line and length. The Heroes reached the 50-run mark in the 10th over.
But after that Razzaq accelerated the scoring rate before the the 65-run partnership was broken when Ambati Rayudu was run out for 29 runs. Immediately on the next ball Razzak was also back in the pavilion after making 41 off 38 balls with 5 boundaries with the score reading 75 for 3. Sixteen runs later Justin Kemp also departed after getting run out scoring just 4 runs.
