ICL World XI beat ICL India XI by eight wickets

A dazzling unbeaten half century by DR Martyn (67) and L Vincent's 43 helped ICL World XI to beat ICL India XI by eight wickets in the ICL 20s World Series played at Lal Bahadur Shastri Stadium at Hyderabad on Wednesday.
ICL World XI made 145 runs for the loss of two wickets in 18.3 overs with the help of Martyn who was unbeaten on 67 from 53 deliveries includes 10 hits to fence while Vincent who made a valuable contribution of 43 runs from 32 balls with the help of 6 fours and one six.
M S Atapattu was unbeaten 25 at the close of the play. They lost their first wicket for seven runs while the second fell at 79 runs when Vincent was out. G Vignesh and STR Binny took one wicket each by conceding 28 and 32 runs respectively.
Earlier opting to bat, ICL India XI made 141 runs for 5 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. T P Singh, who guided the team was unbeaten on 63 from 49 deliveries includes eight fours and one six. S T R Binny who was unbeaten on 37, came from 27 balls, played a good innings, with the help of two fours and one six.
R S Gavsakar made a valuable contribution of 30 from 27 balls, includes two hits to fence and one six.. The former Ranji Player A T Rayudu , who played a good innings in earlier matches, was unexpectedly run out for one run, disappointed the cricket lovers.
Captain R Sathish was return to pavilion without scoring any runs, he was brilliant caught by Cairns in the bowling of Van der Wath. ICL India XI lost their four wickets. A A Jhunjhunwala, G Vignesh, A T Rayudu and R Sathish for nine runs at the end of the third over. Then R S Gavaskar who took charge and extended his cooperation to T P singh, both added 61 runs to the fifth wickets, when the score is moving, before was run out.
J JVan der Wath who bowled well with a good line length, took two wickets for 12 runs. D R Tuffey claimed one wickets for 27 runs.
